After seeing the manpower costs and damage done to product, I asked the owner once again if wouldn’t consider paying just one person- me- to do the job since I was doing the job perfectly. I think it was a point of ego, or something, that made him refuse me again, and i moved on working for someone that was willing to pay me fairly. The owner ended up losing 2 of his 3 retail stores, and about a year later lost the wholesale business. So I guess I was better off, assuming that I was not the reason for his early success.
