I took AP Computer Science in high school as a meme (needed a 5th class to graduate). Not a single person, I guaran-fucking-tee it, upon graduating from that course, knew how to write any sort of software. What was the point? Those who were interested were already teaching themselves how to code on their own time, and those who weren’t interested were just taking it for the elective credit. Either way, no one wins by taking the course.
