I “retired” before my wife. (I was forced out.) I did some remodeling work for my step-daughter, which filled days. When my parents became ill, I was able to put time into helping them. I took on my gigs as a semi-pro folk singer, including doing shows at senior centers during the day, which would have been a problem while I was still working.
