In the 11th grade, I started a new school. My father was already working in Grenada, MS that summer and we were looking for a house there but we hadn’t moved yet. He took me with him to sign up for classes that June and I thought all was set. It was a brand new high school, all glass and chrome…with fencing and gates in the hallway. Kind of strange but okay, I can do different.
