It’s holistic admissions, and you do not mention any extracurriculars. Georgia Tech is a top rated school and likely receive way more applications with excellent academics than spots. It’s possible other parts of your application were not enough to set you apart. It’s possible that was the case for the student from her high school as well; we are not sure.
