We live in Georgia and have also seen some very strange admission’s decisions on the surface from GA Tech. The year my oldest daughter graduated, a male student from her high school was denied into Georgia Tech’s engineering program as a National Merit finalist, with a 36 ACT, and a top ranked student from her high school. However, I can’t tell you anything about his extracurriculars, essays, etc. He went to Purdue freshman year, did extremely well there, and we hear was rejected from GA Tech a second time as a transfer student.
