When he got into high school the guidance office did an evaluation. Turns out he had a learning disability. He literally couldn't follow what was going on in class. They gave him appropriate accommodations and his grades improved. He even got into a few honors classes. Went to college. Did great. Currently a productive member of society and rather successful.
