In Montana, unless you’re involved with drugs, the police are nice. They’re typically looked up to in the community, and help with things like getting cattle off the road or finding lost pets. There’s a rare drug bust, which most people enjoy because meth is destroying our population. They pull over and keep drunk drivers in line, saving both the driver’s life and potentially someone else’s. Typically, you probably know the cop personally, or are friends with someone who knows the cop personally. They’re not a faceless bureaucratic boot.
