So, western companies invested heavily in China to get them up to speed. Over the next decade Chinese workers became better educated and the west began to force Chinese business owners to take care of their employees. Western businesses poured more money into China and by now were totally addicted to Chinese resources both people and natural resources. China was growing rapidly as a mid-level player on the world stage and began to amass a lot of cash and then began to invest it in their own infrastructure projects and used internal expenditures to balance out the dips in the global economy.
