Then there was 2 bathroom passes for the semester, and if you didn’t use the pass, you got a reward for it. The principal had a strict rule about the children being able to use the bathroom when needed and not having restrictions. My niece had a few UTIs from having to hold it so long and a few times peeing her pants and dehydrating herself because she didn’t want to use the pass and knew she couldn’t hold it that well even if she did use the bathroom during break. During a meeting with the principal and teacher, my mother brought up the bathroom issue and the principal sternly tells the teacher “you know how I feel about the bathroom passes and you and I will be having a talk after we are done here.”
