Asking your permission is good, even though she has to make the report. If you decline permission, she will probably tell the case worker you did so, and limit her report to only what is absolutely required. If you say “yes, of course, tell them anything you think is relevant,” she will speak more freely. Either way, she will document the report, file a copy of any written report, and likely note whether or not you gave permission. If it were me, and I didn’t have a very good reason to ask the therapist to restrict her report to the bare minimum, I would say yes. But I’m not you. Sounds like you might need to discuss this further with your therapist.
