The driver he hired was a friend that was having hard times and was willing to work cheap. Since I was quitting for lack of decent wages, I was to train his friend on the delivery process. I was ordered to let him drive to get the experience. The first thing I told him was that we are delivering pottery and this required extra attention in traffic as we don’t want to make sudden moves that would cause the pottery to slide around and break. We weren’t 5 minutes on the road, and he was following another vehicle a little too close considering the load we had.
