My daughter is nine and come home saying they'd had puberty lessons in school. As a family we're pretty open regarding human behaviour and she already knew that she would soon be changing from a little girl into a woman and was well aware of her mum having periods etc. Items such as sanitary products are not hidden away and she's a pretty bright girl. She also has a habit of asking what I'd class as really good, intelligent questions.
