I put an old Chev Cavalier on the hoist one day. The customer wanted a transmission service and 4 new tires. I had just put the car up in the air and was getting things prepped when I heard a strange noise I'd never heard before. I turned around to look at the car and found the hoist arms were not moving, but the car was slowly moving down. I ran over and pulled the handle to put the car back on the ground. Once safely back on its tires I looked and found that the entire chassis of the car was rusted out and the sub-frame was crumbling!
