Both. There are more students on both ends of the behavior and academic spectrum, and fewer in the middle. I used to have one or two students in each class who couldn’t control themselves or struggled with basic concepts, and one or two students whose behavior was so good, and academic ability so advanced, that everything just came really easily for them, and 20 or so students in the middle. Now, there are 3–5 students on either end of that spectrum, and 10–15 students in the middle.
