Suddenly, after four years of intense work relationship my world fell apart. One morning he let me know that he resigned. I couldn't believe it and felt a mix of emotions from anger to sorrow, I felt lost, betrayed, my mentor turned his back on me! At that point I wanted to follow him (which I did a couple of years later) but it wasn't possible and didn't sound right.
