The class was in such high demand that it was held at 7 AM to keep enrollment manageable; the teacher assumed that only people who REALLY wanted to learn would get up that early for class. There were daily reading assignments, and they were a bear, often half a Shakespearean play. To make sure we kept up, he would give us daily quizzes. They had two questions on them, and if you didn’t get both right you failed. The catch was, they focused on details that were NOT major elements of the play, but were interesting enough that if you actually read the play, you were sure to remember them.
