In Montana, my school had about 3,000 students, pulled from my town and towns from all over. We had small class sizes, attentive teachers, and tongue-in-cheek sports pride. There weren’t cliques to speak of. Bullying wasn’t really an issue. If a student got into a physical fight, it typically ended in detention rather than suspension or police. The teachers weren’t paid well when compared to big city teachers, but they were paid well for the low cost of living in our small town.
